In Volyn region law enforcement officers who falsified evidence and tortured the citizens will sit in jail for more than 7 years
the Prosecutor's office supported the state prosecution in criminal proceedings on unlawful actions of the chief and two senior security officers of the sector on fight against a drug trafficking of one of heriotdale UMVD of Ukraine in the Volyn region. Law enforcement officers in the course of 2014 systematically falsifying evidence against persons in the Commission of crimes, Wops'connected with illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances is clearly exceeded their powers, using physical violence and torture them to arbitrarily detained persons, as well as illegally kept and sold narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, including those for future removal from citizens. Despite the fact that the defendants guilt in court is not recognized, thanks to the principled position of the Prosecutor's office to escape prosecution failed. The court, having considered all the evidence, found them guilty of committing the criminal offenses provided by h. h. 1, 2, 3 of article 365, part 3 of article 371, part 2 of article 146, part 2 of article 127, part 2 of article 307, part 1 of article 366 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The chief of sector on fight against a drug trafficking was sentenced to punishment in the form of 7 years and 6 months imprisonment. Senior security officer sentenced to 7 years 1 month imprisonment. All three ex-law enforcement officers are deprived of special ranks and the right to occupy posts in law enforcement bodies for a period of 3 years.
