In Chernihiv celebrated the Day of unification of Ukraine
Chernihiv regional Philharmonic center of festivals and concert programs held a solemn meeting on the occasion of day of Conciliarity of Ukraine. The ceremony was attended by Chairman of regional state administration Valeriy Kulich, Chernihiv mayor Vladislav Atroshenko and the public of the city and region. In greetings to the congregation noted that historic event on January 22, 1922 formed the basis for the revival of the independent United democratic Ukraine and approval of the national idea. Unity day is a reminder that the strength of our state is in the unity of all Ukrainian lands. Chairman of the Chernihiv regional state administration Valeriy Kulich emphasized that the unification of UNR and ZUNR was the beginning of a new era for the formation of the Ukrainian nation, and millions of Ukrainians are United by a desire to live in a free, democratic country. Chernihiv city Chairman Vladislav Atroshenko in his speech said: - The unity of Ukraine is a tribute to the history and, perhaps, the greatest asset that we have to defend. To protect the catholicity and independence of the country thousands of Ukrainians gave the most precious they had – their lives. Vladislav Atroshenko wished everyone a good faith in Ukraine: "Ukraine is bound to be Catholic, independent and modern European country." Also during the celebrations it was noted that for the purpose of honoring the traditions of the struggle for independence and unity of Ukraine by the decree of the President of Ukraine in 2017 declared the Year of Ukrainian revolution 1917 – 1921 years. A minute of silence was held in memory of all Ukrainian patriots who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence. On the occasion of day of Conciliarity of Ukraine from the participants of the meeting laid flowers to the monument to the Great Kobzar Taras Shevchenko, the memorial sign “Fighters for freedom and independence of Ukraine”, a memorial stele to the Heroes of the Heavenly hundred fallen members ATO. The best representatives of the residents of Chernihiv oblast on the occasion of day of Conciliarity of Ukraine presented the awards. Disposal of Chernihiv mayor for conscientious work, high professionalism and on occasion of day of Conciliarity of Ukraine the Gratitude of Chernihiv mayor - Goose Regina Viktorovna, Director of the municipal institution "Chernihiv education and rehabilitation center No. 2" ×åðí³8ã³âñüêî¿ city Council of Chernihiv oblast, the Deputy of city Council, an active volunteer and social activist - Nightingale Anna Anatolyevna, main specialist of Department for housing, utilities, and architecture of new York district in the city of Chernigov Council - Surzhik Alexander Nikolayevich, head of Department of the personified accounting of preferential categories of citizens the Department of labor and social protection of population of Desnyanskiy district in the city of Chernigov Council On the occasion of the gala concert took place. Academic folk choir performed "Prayer for Ukraine". In the foyer of the Philharmonic center, was presented the documentary photo exhibition "Roads of the state," the State archives of Chernihiv region.
