Sergey Savchuk: Investments of the population in energy efficiency measures will intensify the work of Ukrainian producers of energy efficient materials and equipment
Government program for energy efficiency, which for two years has used more than 215 thousand families, helped to attract about UAH 2.7 bn. in the country's economy and stimulated the development of small and medium business in Ukraine. This was announced by the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk at the joint press conference with Chairman of the Board of PrivatBank Alexander Shlapak, which took place on 16 February 2017 at the Government House. According to him, two years of Government programs on energy efficiency have proved that energy-saving measures that the Ukrainians are actively implementing in their homes, contribute not only to improving the comfort of housing and reduce utility bills, but also the development of domestic business and the domestic market of goods and services. "The government, local authorities, banks and the population is all along co-finances energy efficiency measures, thus, investing in the production of new solid fuel boilers, Windows and metering devices, heat insulation materials. All this contributes to the creation of new jobs in Ukraine and stimulate the development of the domestic market domestic production", – said S. Savchuk. The head of the Agency expressed confidence that with the help of the program "warm" loans of another powerful state-owned banks, namely PrivatBank, small and medium business in Ukraine will get more and more orders and opportunities for development. "Investments in energy efficiency of the housing sector cannot be overemphasized. On the one hand is the impact to people in the form of reduced heating bills and improved comfort in their own homes, such as the increasing cost of housing. On the other is a point of growth of the Ukrainian economy, when due to stimulation of independence of the population develops business and benefit from it, and the people and the local community, the state and entrepreneurs", – concluded Sergey Savchuk.
