At a joint meeting of heads of law enforcement agencies of the region discussed the ways of law enforcement in the area
In the prosecution of Rivne region 23.02.2017 held a coordination meeting of heads of law enforcement bodies on combating corruption and crime, primarily at the priorities and in an organized form, by the end of 2016. In the meeting took part the Chairman of the Rivne regional Council Nikolai Draganchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Rivne regional state administration Igor Tymoshenko, the leaders of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Rivne oblast Valery Prysyazhnyuk, General Directorate of State fiscal service in the Rovno area Dmitry Zaitsev, Rivne customs State fiscal service of Ukraine Andriy Cebora, the military Prosecutor of the Rovno garrison Victor Petrichenko, head of the Lutsk border detachment Nicholas Scarva, Department of protection of the economy in the Rivne region JO NP of Ukraine Vyacheslav Pteni, control police patrol in the city of patrol police Department Sergey Marchuk, Polessky Department of police Department of police NP Oleh dollop, as well as employees of regional Prosecutor's offices, regional and inter-regional law enforcement agencies. Opening the meeting, the President – the Prosecutor of the Rivne oblast Oleg Sobol said that the law enforcement bodies of the region made efforts to respond adequately to challenges that have defined the essence of the crime situation in the region. Measures and coordinated cooperation of all law enforcement bodies of the region together with the public contributed to the stabilization of a criminogenic situation in the region. As a result, achieved a much lower level than in the country of criminal offences per 10 thousand population (103 versus 138,6). It was noted that on the background of criminal offenses was substantially less committed intentional homicide, crimes against the foundations of national security of Ukraine in the sphere of conscription and mobilization. Neutralized in the region 4 organized criminal groups, revealed 41 of the criminal corruption offenses. Constantly, work continued on the prevention, detection and suppression of illegal operations with amber, earth, forest, budgetary funds. However, certain miscalculations in the organization of activity of law enforcement bodies on counteraction of offenses became the basis to the negative trends in the General structure of crime. Especially accented the attention on the significant growth in crimes against property, illegal seizure of vehicles, as well as intentional grievous bodily harm. Concerned that the fight against illicit trafficking in narcotic substances has been reduced to the identification of the facts of storage of these substances by individuals who suffer from drug addiction. And activities to identify laboratories, narcotic transit through the territory of the region significantly weakened. "We need to use the most effective methods of combating these negative phenomena in the society to feel protected. Among the priorities remains a real fight against corruption, organised its forms, primarily in the areas of taxation, land and forest resources, mining," – said Oleg Sobol. – "I believe that the results in combating corruption that have, is, without exaggeration, dire. Demand real results, first of all expecting effective work in this direction of special forces of law enforcement bodies". My vision in interaction and the solution of the raised problem issues expressed by all the heads of security agencies and authorities and local government. According to the results of the meeting developed a set of coherent measures aimed at overcoming negative tendencies in the structure of crime in the area.
