For the procedural management of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region, the investigators of the investigative Department of GUNP in Rivne region completed pre-trial investigation in respect of 3 members of an organized criminal group on the fact of committing the criminal offense provided by part 3 of article 229 of the criminal code of Ukraine (illegal use of trademarks for goods and services and trade names of the goods). It is established that the accomplices (all residents of Volyn region) organized the activities in Lutsk the underground plant, which produced counterfeit washing powder under the name of famous brands. Made of cheap raw materials "branded" goods sold on the territory of Ukraine, including Rivne region. According to the criminal plan and allocation of roles to participants of criminal group looked for a room for the manufacture and storage of counterfeit products, labels indicating they brands well-known manufacturers of washing powders, searched for potential customers through a worldwide network the Internet and a specially created online shops and sell products. Part of the money earned from illegal profits, accomplices were divided, and some – for the needs of further criminal activity. The results of the law enforcement officers searched the warehouse of seized counterfeit goods worth over UAH 47 thousand, as well as equipment for packing, the device for sealing packaging containers, labels with counterfeit trademarks. Currently, the indictment is directed to court for consideration on the merits. All participants of an organized criminal group elected the measure of restraint in the form of collateral. According to the Criminal code of Ukraine responsibility for the crime is provided in the form of a fine from 10 thousand to 15 thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to 3 years or without it.
