During weekly staff meetings at the Chairman of regional state administration, Director of the health Department of the regional state administration Lyudmila grabovich stressed that one of the strategic goals in the sphere of health protection in Vinnytsia region is to create conditions for the provision of palliative (hospice) care. In particular, the Concept of development of palliative care in the region, which is considered in public organizations as well as relevant work is carried out to organize the functioning of a mobile team providing palliative care for children. According to the calculations, the need for palliative care in the region is 434 patients with cancer, 127 patients with multiresistant tuberculosis, 52 patients with AIDS infection requiring pain relief and palliative Oncology 15 children. Today, in the Vinnytsia region there are 74 palliative care beds, including 30 beds in the Department of palliative care at clinical hospital ¹3 Vinnitsa; 4 beds for palliative care on the basis of the stationary branch of the KU "Vinnytsia regional center for prevention and fight AIDS"; 30 beds on the basis of Koziatyn regional tuberculosis hospital, which operates as an institution for palliative treatment of patients with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis; 10 beds in the Department of palliative care at the hospital in seconds. With the assistance of the public organization "Institute for social development" training of specialists of the mobile teams in clinics of Ukraine and abroad, namely in Salzburg in Austria. Important is the fact that professionals visiting children's palliative crews carry out scheduled visits to the districts and the city of Vinnitsa, conduct family counselling, assist with patient care, preparing family physicians and nurses on issues of palliative care. In addition, in 2016, set up a regional register of palliative patients in the following areas: "Phthisiology", "Children's Oncology and Oncohematology", "adult Oncology", "AIDS infection". One of the achievements of the health Department of the Vinnytsia regional state administration was the establishment, with the assistance of the Charity Fund "Revival", on the basis of VOLKL "Hot line" to provide consultative care of palliative patients from among the child population of the region's population.
