Representatives of Ternopil region, if it's taught the right way to use financial resources
Issues related to sustainable development at the local level is extremely important, given the need to stabilize the socio-economic situation in the region in conditions of economic crisis and reform on decentralization. Of fundamental importance is adequate to ensure financial viability of territorial communities, as well as control over efficiency of use of available resources to prevent corruption. That is why April 7 Mineralnii the centre for policy studies (B. Kyiv) in the framework of the project “Financial transparency United communities” with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands held a workshop for members of the United communities in Ternopil region. Welcomed the participants of the seminar, the Deputy head of Department of town planning and architecture of regional state administration Victor Jakimiuk. “At the beginning of 2017 in the region there are 36 United communities. About one third of the territory and about 290 thousand people in the region. United 206 city, town and village councils, which is 345 settlements. The organizational phase of forming communities started and he's already inevitable continues. Currently the next stage – namely, the formation of structures and organs of the communities, as well as the formation and use of financial resources of communities, which will help meet the specific requests of their residents. In 2016 on formation of infrastructure of 26 United communities (construction, reconstruction, major repairs of objects of social-cultural sphere and housing and communal services, purchase of equipment) from the state budget used a subvention in the amount of a cash consideration of 133,3 million UAH of subventions for the implementation of activities on socio-economic development of certain territories - 9,6 million hryvnias of means of the state regional development Fund - 4.6 million hryvnia.Thus, for the development, construction and strengthening of material-technical base of the unified territorial communities in the past year used 147,5 million UAH of state budget funds.Pleased to congratulate the participants of the seminar, which will be considered important for the implementation of the powers of community issues aimed at improving the economic capacity of communities to solve a specific problem issues of their activity - the use of existing and finding ways of attracting additional financial resources of the communities”, -said Victor Jakimiuk.
