In Lutsk, celebrated the Day of Europe
National flags, colourful costumes, songs and the festive atmosphere was filled with Central Park named after Lesya Ukrainka in Lutsk, marking the Day of Europe. For residents and guests of the city have prepared an interesting holiday program - a fun European tantamareski for photography, interest from educational institutions and public associations, competitions, animation, entertainment, face-painting "European coloring" and more. Citizens and guests who have come here this fine day, once again convinced that the Ukrainian and European society are closely linked. In celebration of Europe Day was held a traditional festival of school creativity “Eurovision - 2017”, where educational institutions of the city singing and dancing was one of the member countries of the European Union. Everyone had the opportunity to enjoy performances of young Lucian and learn more about the culture of European countries. After the festival, the audience welcomed acting Lutsk mayor Igor Polishchuk and Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk Krzysztof Sawicki. Igor Polishchuk congratulated guests on the holiday, expressing hope that they got a lot of pleasure from the performances of young Lucian, who demonstrated the culture of different countries. “On this wonderful day, nice to see children smile and good mood. The luck is real European city, which annually strengthened and increased partnerships with various cities of Europe and the world. This long-term collaboration yields wonderful results that will benefit all of us. Holding joint events, sharing traditions, integrating young people more brings us together, instilling the belief that Ukraine is waiting for a happy European future, -he emphasized. In turn, Krzysztof Sawicki noted that the city of Lutsk is an old friend and a good neighbor in many Polish cities. He emphasized that tolerance and mutual respect towards each other is one of the priorities in the European community. Krzysztof Sawicki also thanked acting city head Igor Polishchuk for help and support in the implementation of various activities. Later, Igor Polishchuk and Krzysztof Sawicki has awarded winners and participants of the “European Olympiad”, which was held this morning. Some of the best steel Polish students, in particular Emir Chahed from Bartoszyce, took third place and Philip Gemzik from Chelm took second place. And the winner Vrooman became Stanislav Didenko, a student of Lutsk secondary school of I-III stages No. 25.
