Editors Ternopil rayanok studied the new "philosophy" free local journalism

For editors of regional Newspapers of the region, which take part in the privatization, held a training "Modern local newspaper – what it be". The papers formed a new "philosophy" free of local journalism, and from this point of view, the new tried to answer the question "Who is our reader? What does he want?". Editors studied modern understanding of audience and its requirements as a tool of adjustment contents. The participants of the training got acquainted with the best examples and the graphic "code," of the newspaper, the principles of planning the work of the creative staff of the editorial office. A separate topic of discussion was the editorial management, management of staff, systems and tools monitoring and promotion, analysis of geography newspaper articles, coverage of the main topics, feedback from the reader. Classes are conducted by the expert of the joint programme EU-Council of Europe "Strengthening information society in Ukraine", editor Novotroitskiy district newspaper "Labour glory" (Kherson region), honored journalist of Ukraine Valeriy Gorobets. Chief editor of the newspaper "Irpin Bulletin" (Irpin, Kyiv region), member of the Union of writers of Ukraine Julia Berezhko-Kaminska shared with Ternopil editors experience what can be achieved and change in the newspaper for a year and a half how to do a complete rebranding of the publication of the "provincial rayonka" in a new, modern, European quality level. The training was held in the framework of the project "Integrated support of print media in different regions of Ukraine in the process of privatization and the establishment of their independent activities" with the support of "Ukrainian media project" (U-Media), implemented by Internews in Ukraine and funded by the U.S. Agency for international development (USAID).
