Agrarians of Ternopol region started harvest
Grain and leguminous crops occupy 55,5% of everything grown in the fields of Ternopil. And the current crop area in all categories of farms of the region is 819,8 thousand hectares of which 9.5 thousand hectares more than last year. This was announced by the VA. Director of Department of agroindustrial development of regional state administration Volodymyr Stakhiv during a video conference with participation of first Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Maxim Martyniuk. During the meeting discussed holding the farms of the region, harvest of early grain crops. "As of July 12, agrarians of the region harvested early grain and leguminous crops on fields with a total area of 0.9 hectares", — he said. In particular, winter barley was harvested on the area of 0.8 thousand hectares and the first to obsolete it is 3.9 thousand tons of grain. The average yield is 48,75 kg/ha, 3.7 t/ha more than last year, said Volodymyr Stakhiv. Winter rape harvested on the area of 0,1 hectares and the Average yield is 30 q/ha, which is 4,3 kg/ha more than last year. According to the VA. the Director of the Department of agricultural development, while harvesting of early grain and rapeseed fields are expected to attract 1226 units of grain harvesters. Considerable attention is paid to the storage conditions of grain. So, in the territory of the region there are 33 certified grain warehouses with total capacity of over 1300 tonnes. In addition, the construction of two grain elevators with a capacity of more than 110 thousand tons of grain storage.
