In Zhytomyr region, participants of the round table spoke about the directions of aid in the framework of EU projects.
The current status of relations between the European Union and Ukraine, the importance of the implementation of the Association Agreement, the priority areas of assistance provided by the EU within the framework of educational and cultural projects were discussed at the round table with the representatives of authorities of Zhytomyr region. The event was held July 19, in the framework of the information campaign "Building Europe in Ukraine" held by the EU delegation in Zhytomyr and Berdychiv. Participation in the round table was attended by the Director of the Department of economic development, trade and international cooperation of the regional state administration Alexey Shatilo. "We already have positive experience of cooperation with project grant support, implemented by the European Union. So, there are a project "Local development, oriented on colossus", which gave way to the more than 60 micro-projects in communities – addressing social and economic problems and the strengthening of civil consciousness of inhabitants of the region. So I hope that this meeting will open new ways and areas of cooperation for implementation of projects in the Zhytomyr region", – said Alexey Shatilo. The political adviser of the EU delegation to Ukraine, Evelina Schulz spoke about how the European Union helps Ukraine to develop. In particular, it is now actively implementing informational, educational and cultural projects in the regions of Ukraine. And announced the event that will be held in Zhytomyr for July 19-21 in the framework of the information campaign of the EU delegation.
