Chernigov celebrates the 75th anniversary of the 1st Guards army
Chernihiv to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the 1st Guards army held celebrations, which was attended by the leaders of the city and region, veterans and members of the public. The participants of the celebrations laid flowers at the mass grave of soldiers, the Memorial to the dead members of ATU and the heroes of the Celestial Hundreds on red square. Shevchenko on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the 1st Guards army held a solemn meeting with war veterans, retired officers, military units. In his welcoming speech during the ceremony Chernihiv city Chairman Vladislav Atroshenko expressed sincere gratitude to veterans for their heroic deeds while defending the country from invaders.
