The condition of flu and ARVI in Chernigov
city of Chernigov, the incidence of influenza and SARS for 52 week in 2015, was below the epidemiological threshold 57,06 %. During the reporting week with flu and SARS are sick 1531 face (52,82 % per 10 thousand population), of which 65.6 per cent (abs. the number – 1004) - were children. 1 registered case of flu in children. Hospitalized 22 people, of whom 95.5 per cent (abs. number – 21) - are children up to 17 years. Compared with the previous week the rate of increase in the incidence of flu and ORVI has decreased among the adult population by 10 % and increased among children up to 17 years and accounts for 1 %. Distribution by age structure of affected children is: from 0-4 years – 490 children (48.8 per cent of the total number of affected children); from 5-14 years – 430 children (42,8%); from 15-17, 84 children (8.4 per cent). In Chernihiv region the incidence of influenza and SARS for the 52 week was below the epidemic threshold by 46.8% (total) among the population of the region was 42.4 per 10 thousand people. The highest incidence of influenza and SARS registered in Koryukivka district is 67.2%, and the lowest in Repkinskom region is 6.3 % per 10 thousand people. For 52 week in the field 4621 sick people, of which 65.6 per cent (abs. the number - 3030) were children. Hospitalized 125 people (2.7% of the cases), of them 80.0% (abs. number – 100) - are children up to 17 years. In comparison with the previous week incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections decreased among the total population and children under 17 years are 2% and 1 % respectively. On the 52nd week of the current year the biological material from 2 patients with SARS with a negative result. As of December 28, 2015 vaccinated against influenza in the Chernihiv region 134 persons, including 27 children. The Chernigov – 17 people, including 5 children. In Ukraine according to the Center for influenza and acute respiratory viral infections of the State institution "Ukrainian center for control and disease monitoring" of the Ministry of health of Ukraine, during week 51 influenza and SARS fell ill 166914 people, of which 69,7%are children under the age of 17. The incidence of influenza and SARS (total) among the population of Ukraine is smaller than last week, 1 % and 39% per 10 thousand people. The highest incidence of influenza and ARI registered in Kiev – 76 %, the lowest in the Kharkiv region was 15.1% per 10 thousand population. In all regions of Ukraine the incidence of influenza and SARS epidemic does not exceed thresholds and range from -8,0 % in Volyn to -77,5 % in Ivano-Frankivsk regions. In comparison with last week the dynamics among hospitalized increased by 4.2 %, the number of hospitalized – 5944 (3.6% of the total number of cases), of which 77,7 % were children up to 17 years. Throughout the territory of Ukraine, the intensity of the epidemic process remains level with last week. The rate of increase among adults and children up to 17 years on average is 0.6 %. Since the beginning of the epidemic season vaccinated against influenza 104266 persons, representing 0.2 % of the total population of Ukraine.
