In Zhytomyr region the SBU exposed the mechanism for causing millions of losses of the state budget
the Staff of Management of SB of Ukraine in Zhytomyr region has exposed the mechanism of causing damages to the state budget for more than nine million hryvnia in the implementation of peat. Officials of the local enterprises included in the structure of one of the state companies sold in the period 2013-2015 two commercial firms almost fifty-three thousand tons of peat briquettes. The products were sold at prices two or three times below its actual cost. Then entrepreneurs peat resold at market prices. Intelligence officers initiated an internal audit of financial-economic activity of enterprises, which assessed the damage from the actions of officials at 9.4 million.
