The Rivne region: in emergency and rescue detachment of special purpose of GU gschs region summed up the results of work for 2015
on 21 January in an emergency rescue special forces unit of the Main Directorate DSNS in Rivne region held a meeting on the results of operational activities in 2015. Conducted meeting first Deputy chief of regional management of the DSNs Colonel civil defense Yuri Koretsky involving personal detachment. During the meeting of the heads of the relevant areas of work of the rescue squad reported that in the past year, the on-duty rescue units were made 168 trips to the elimination of various emergency events, fires, assisting police officers at road traffic accidents, assistance to citizens on water about’objects, opening doors of homes of citizens, decontamination of spills of mercury and the elimination of consequences of natural disasters. A considerable amount of work had to be performed by the specialists of group of pyrotechnic works. Sappers were produced 110 combat missions and destroyed 992 explosive subjects of times of the First and Second world wars on the territory of the region. In addition, and they, risking their own lives, found and cleared cynically terrorists installed explosive devices and ammunition in the East of Ukraine. Group life support was carried out around the clock in the heating on the highways in the region as a result of complication of weather conditions. Timely and properly conducted maintenance and repair of fire-rescue equipment, heavy tools and small machines, which in turn ensured a prompt arrival on the scene of the fire or any emergency event and uptime in combat. In addition, the staff of the rescue group as part of summary of units assisted in the reconstruction of infrastructure of cities and towns in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Actively helped the squad and to download a variety of humanitarian aid for the needs of Ukrainian soldiers, which gathered voluntary organizations, companies and concerned citizens. In turn, the first Deputy chief of regional management of the DSNs Colonel civil defense Yuri Koretsky, commending the work of emergency and rescue detachment of special purpose, noted the high level of readiness of units to perform assigned tasks and highlighted the main requirements of the management of the State service of Ukraine for emergency situations on civil protection of population and territories in the region and the priority tasks of the Main Directorate gschs in 2016. After the meeting several employees of the special squad were awarded certificates of gschs of Ukraine and regional management of gschs and awarded the next special rank.
