International aviation forum was launched in Chernivtsi

In the session hall of the city Council began the work of the international aviation forum "the Role of the airport "Chernivtsi" in economic development and tourism in the region", organized by the Chernivtsi municipality together with the civil aviation Association "Airports of Ukraine", Association of leaders of tourist industry of Ukraine, LLC "AVAPLAS" and KP "international airport "Chernivtsi". "At a time when distances are measured by kilometers and hours, we must exert maximum effort to unite the city of Chernivtsi with the world – says mayor Alex Kaspruk.- It is very important that our airport has international status, which opens up great prospects for the city. Thanks to this forum we will work together to achieve outstanding results in the field of passenger and freight transport". "We aim to show that Bukovina is developing and has great potential in the field of tourism and air links, – said the President of Association "Airports of Ukraine" civil aviation Petro Lypovenko. – Our organization brings together 83 companies from 11 countries, including Switzerland, Austria, Germany and the USA. We coordinate the activities of airports and their cooperation with airlines, turistichnij agencies and the like. Therefore, our experience and the results of the forum will help to Chernivtsi to take the first significant steps in establishing regular flights and increase the number of Charter flights". By calculations of the Chairman of the Committee for strategic development and international relations, AUCA Eugene Treskunov, with only one scheduled flight airport "Chernivtsi" can serve up to 120 thousand passengers a year. The Forum was attended by representatives of the Romanian Association of airports, airports "Suceava" and the "Cluj-Napoca", all-Ukrainian aviation Association "AOPA-Ukraine", cargo and passenger airlines, in particular, "Turkish Airlines", "YanAir", "Urga", "Ukraine-Aerolinas", as well as leading tourist agencies and hospitality business. Foreign colleagues will share their experience and peculiarities of attracting European low-cost airlines, the benefits of the regime "open Sky". During the round tables will discuss the requirements for passenger ground handling, cargo planes, private aviation, aviation insurance, the organization of work of agencies on sale of air transportations, the hotel offers air-tourists.
