4 February in Bairaky village, Hertsa district took place the solemn opening of the local fire brigade. This event was made possible thanks to the fruitful cooperation of Management of gschs of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region with the local authorities. The festive event was attended by the head of Department DSNS Colonel civil protection Sergey Mikhailyuk, President Gertsaevsky district Council Valentin Iacoban, Chairman of the Hertsa district administration Viorel yastrzemski, the village President of the village of Bairak Michael Caruso, members of the clergy and the community. “We understand how important it is to protect citizens from fire and other elements. Similar work on creation of a local fire guard in other settlements of the area will continue in the future», – said Viorel yastrzemski. In turn, as noted by Valentin Jacobin, when the question arose about the financing of the local fire brigade in the village of Bairak at the expense of the district budget, the deputies of the district Council unanimously supported the proposal. Thus, funds were allocated for a total sum about 120 thousand hryvnias, what is the annual budget of the contents of the local fire brigade. “We understand the importance of the local firemen that improves fire protection of our citizens. It's nice that in such difficult for our country time we managed to organize SHN holiday», – said Valentin Jacoban. The local fire brigade will guard against fires virgins’five settlements Hertsa area: the Gullies, the maps of petrashivka, Small box, Basement, Kulikova, Letter, Crop anske, Nad Arne and Big box. Continuous service here will carry four men, armed with one fire truck. Sergey Mikhailyuk wished the team cohesion and success in professional activities, and also gave the employees of the local fire brigade, the fire equipment to perform assigned tasks. "the Functioning of local fire brigades can improve the efficiency of fire and rescue divisions in fighting the fire and the other elements in the countryside. From 886 fires that occurred in Chernivtsi region last year, in the elimination of 302 of them involved employees of the local fire brigades. Also during the event, the priests sanctified the personnel of the local fire brigade for further service and wished fewer alarm calls.
