In Chernivtsi presented a book on cadastral maps of the NINETEENTH century Bukovina

3 February at the Municipal library. A. Dobriansky hosted a book presentation dedicated to the cadastral maps of Bukovina are created within 1817 – 1865. The book "Franziszeische Kataster Der Bukowina im Kronland Czernowitzer Kreis (1817-1865). Katastralmappen und Statistik" ("Franciscan cadastre of the crown land Bukovina, Chernivtsi district (1817-1865). Statistics and cadastral maps") created by a team. This doctor of Sciences, full member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences Helmut of Rumpler, PhD, senior researcher, Austrian Academy of Sciences Kurt Sharri, senior researcher, Moldavian Academy of Sciences Constantin Ungureanu. The book was published thanks to the support of the Austrian science Fund, which is funded by mandatory registration of their publications in electronic format for shared access by interested users. This is a state program aimed at promoting science. Talking actually about the presented edition, Kurt Sharri (project Manager and responsible executor) covered not only the process of work on the study, but gave a brief and comprehensive lecture on the history KADASTROVAJA lands in the Habsburg Empire. KADASTROVAJA lands project, which has focused not only in Bukovina, but also to the whole territory that was under the rule of the Austrian Habsburgs. Its purpose was taxation of land, socio-historical analysis and modernization of society.
