Chernivtsi, this Year increased the rates of environmental taxes
State tax Inspectorate in Chernorech notes that the Law of Ukraine from 24.12.2015 No. 909-VIII "On amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine and certain legislative acts of Ukraine concerning balancing the budget revenue in 2016" (further – the Law No. 909) indexed rates of ecological tax, which operated in 2015, for: – emissions of air pollutants from stationary sources of pollution (except carbon dioxide) that the approved items 243.1 -243.3 of article 243 of the Tax code of Ukraine (hereinafter – the Code), 26,71% and the emissions of carbon dioxide (243.4 paragraph of article 243 of the Code) 26,92% (paragraph 59 of section i of Act No. 909); – discharges of contaminants into water bodies (paragraphs 245.1 – 245.2 article 245 of the Code) – on 26,72% (item 60 section i of Act No. 909); – placement of waste in specially designated places or objects (items 246.11 – 246.2 article 246 of the Code) – 25,81 – 26,81% (paragraph 61 of section i of Act No. 909); – the generation of radioactive waste (including already accumulated) (247.1 paragraph of article 247 of the Code) – 26.7% (paragraph 62 of section i of Act No. 909); – temporary storage of radioactive wastes by their producers exceeding the special conditions of the licence term (paragraph of article 248 248.1 of the Code) – 26.7% (item 63 of section i of Act No. 909). According to the fourth paragraph of paragraph 2 of subsection 5 of section XX "Transitional provisions" of the Code on tax liabilities for environmental tax that had arisen for the producers of electricity at CHPs and power plants, from 01.01.2016 tax rate of 100% of the rates stipulated by articles 243, 244, 245 and 246 of the Code.
