In Chernivtsi region civil protection summed up the results of work for 2015
on February 16 in the auditorium of the office DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region held its final meeting with senior staff of the territorial subsystem of the Unified state system of civil protection of population and territories of the Chernivtsi region. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of the Department of emergency response state emergency service of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Chernivtsi regional state administration Volodymyr Kulish, head of Chernivtsi oblast Council Ivan Muntyan, the head of Department DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region, Lieutenant Colonel of service of civil protection Sergey Mikhailyuk, heads and representatives of all services of civil protection Chernivtsi region. During the meeting summed up the work of the civil protection authorities to 2015, saw a video about the work of these services and identifies the main activities for 2016. Thus, in particular, one of the main tasks in Chernivtsi region is the cooperation of local authorities with private voluntary organizations, which received considerable attention. For example, in the framework of the international project "Improving life safety in Prut river valley" in 11 villages Novoselytsia district organized the work of volunteers who will be involved in case of need rendering assistance to the population. According to the head of the project, the Chairman of the public organization «economic development Agency and cross-border cooperation" Svetlana, Scribular, this best practices work with volunteers in Ukraine. By results of work last year identified the best workers of the civil protection authorities of the province, which was marked by diplomas and awards. All were awarded to 35 persons. In addition, rescuers received the next special rank. So, Deputy head of the SSES Andrew Mamako received the rank of Colonel, Deputy head of the SSES Igor Dinis received the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Only title he won 12 of the rescuers. In turn, the head of Department of gschs Sergey Mikhailyuk thanked the representatives of the regional authorities for cooperation and support. “thanks to the fruitful cooperation with local authorities we were able to improve logistical support to rescuers, buying new fighting clothes and special equipment to perform assigned tasks. I note that fire and rescue Management SSES units are ready to respond to protect the public. In 2016 we face the task of ensuring public safety, readiness to respond in case of threats and the improvement of material and technical support of fire and rescue units», – said the head of Department of gschs. Summarizing the meeting, Vladimir Demchuk noted that last year the territorial subsystem Unified state system of civil protection of population and territories of the Chernivtsi region has fulfilled its tasks at a high level. For all participants was organized a display of fire-rescue equipment and rescue equipment used by lifeguards in the performance of assigned tasks.
