In Transcarpathia started the annual operation "primrose"

each year in the spring mass continues trading in early spring plant species, including listed in the Red book of Ukraine, which are rare and endangered. Highly decorative and early-flowering perennial plants leads to the fact that they are in large quantities are exported to big cities of Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary. Massive collection of early flowering species of plants leads to the destruction of populations of individual species. To save the species listed in the Red book of Ukraine, the Ministry of environment annually initiates the operation "primrose", which aims to prevent illegal collection, sale and export outside Ukraine; rare species of plants. The promotion attracted public inspectors of environmental protection, internal Affairs officers, forest guards, community organizations, mass media. Citizens who illegally collect and sell primroses, will involve in administrative responsibility. So. according to article 88-1 of the code of Ukraine on administrative offences, violation of procedure for acquisition or sale of objects of the vegetable world entails a fine of thirty to one hundred tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 510. up to 1700 UAH.) with confiscation of objects of the vegetable world. The same actions committed within the territories and objects of natural reserve Fund, included to the Red book of Ukraine, or protected according to international treaties of Ukraine, – shall entail imposition of a fine from one hundred to two hundred and fifteen non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 1700. to 3655 USD.) with confiscation of objects of animal or flora, or without such. For violation or the deterioration of the environment of residence (growth) of plants, types of which are listed in the Red book of Ukraine, destruction, illegal or in violation of the established procedure for their withdrawal from the natural environment, as well as the violation of the conditions (cultivation) of plants of these species in Botanical gardens, dendrological and Zoological parks, and other specially created artificial conditions that led to their death and damage, is subject to a fine under article 90 Art on citizens from twenty (340 UAH.) up to thirty (510 UAH). non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with confiscation of illegally extracted and on officials – from thirty (510 UAH). up to fifty (850 UAH) non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with confiscation of illegally extracted. Therefore, I appeal to all conscious citizens with the request to opt out of collection and purchase of plants listed in the Red book of Ukraine. After all, even buying a primrose we automatically become accomplices of unscrupulous individuals who realize its illegal. So, let's protect the environment together, and of the natural heritage of Ukraine to protect for future generations!
