Department gschs of Ukraine in the Ternopil region informs about the status of fires and victims in them people in the region in 2015 compared with year 2014: • registered 1699 fires vs. 1099 (+54,6%); • died as a result of fire 38 people, against 65 (41.5 per cent); • has injured 39 people, compared with 18 (+116,7%). Destroyed, damaged, 591 building, structures, 86 vehicles, 3499 tons of roughage, 119 hectares of bread in the Bud; Economic losses from fires amounted to 169 million 396 thousand UAH., of them: - direct loss of 59 million 157 thousand UAH.; - side damage 110 million 239 thousand UAH. At enterprises, organizations and institutions controlled by the state Supervisory agencies, the number of fires compared with 2014 increased by 16.9% and amounted to 69 cases, which is 4,06 % of the total number of fires in the area. In 2015 the main causes of fires were careless handling of fire of 1120, against 569 (+96,8%); violation of fire safety rules during installation and operation of electrical installations 357, against 324 (10.2 per cent); violation of fire safety rules at the device and operation of furnaces 94, against 87 (+8%). Already after 2 months of 2016: • registered 140 fire; • died as a result of fires 10 people; • injured 8 people; • economic losses from fires amounted to 15 million 000 thousand UAH. of them: - direct loss of 6 million 200 thousand UAH.; - side damage 8 million 800 thousand UAH. Despite the measures taken by the specialists of the Department gschs of Ukraine in the field, the General condition of fire protection facilities acculturization requires improvement. Having analyzed the state of fire safety on objects acculturization and with mass stay of people determined that most of these objects are in an unsatisfactory fire-prevention condition, namely: • missing or insufficient number of primary fire extinguishing means; • lack of automatic fire alarm and alert people about the fire; • compliance with the fire safety requirements of electricity; • malfunction of the devices of the heating furnace; • the failure of fire-retardant treatment of wooden structures of coverage of buildings; • lack of external sources of supply, remoteness of the reservoirs; • non-compliance with norms and clutter escape routes; • absence or malfunction of system grounding protection.
