Zhytomyr region: the rescuers had an educational lesson for students, "Explosive subjects of our time and times past wars"
With the onset of warm time of the year the emergency number "101" increasingly, there are reports about the detection of explosive objects. Ammunition left over from the past wars, citizens encounter every day during cleaning of gardens, a visit to the woodlands or spring field and ground works. There are times when dangerous discovery becomes a cause of injury, and even worse - death. To teach the younger generation how to act in case of detection of an unknown object, rescuers started a series of curricular and extracurricular activities for children. In particular, 18 March the staff of Management DSNS of Zhytomyr region was held for the pupils of sixth class of Zhytomyr General educational school of i-III stages No. 1 lesson "Explosive subjects of our time and times past wars". Using slides specialists gschs familiarized children with the types and characteristics of various explosives, which were seized and defused by group of pyrotechnic works of regional management of gschs. And the disciples, in turn, remembered the life history of the discovery of such findings that has happened to them and their friends. The biggest impression students had caused terrible consequences detonating grenades, update and cartridges, visually demonstrated in the video gschs of Ukraine «Dangerous discovery". The children learned about the science of pyrotechnics, plunged into the history of the invention of dynamite and its modern application. In connection’connection with the increase in terrorist attacks worldwide, a separate issue rescuers stayed on the algorithm of actions in case of detection of unknown suspicious objects abandoned in the lurch of things, and the like. The students were made to disguise the explosives and told the main features which define these objects. Finally, the rescue workers summed up learned information in the form of question-answer and invited all present to tour the exhibition in the regional Museum of civil protection, located on the territory of the 2nd State fire and rescue unit.
