The regional TB dispensary is one of the best in Ukraine
On the indicators of TB services regional TB dispensary is the best in the state. This was reported on March 22, the physician Vitaly Didyk. The clinic has a Department for adults, children's Department, teaching classes for school children, games room for kids, as well as x-ray, blaboratory and the intensive care unit. In 2015, Ukraine has registered 23 thousand 896 of newly detected cases of TB, which amounts to 55.9 per 100 thousand population, in 2014 these figures were respectively 25 and 59,5 thousand 543. That is a decline of incidence rate of 6.4%. In the Zhytomyr region last year were identified 830 new cases. However, the incidence rate of tuberculosis decreased to 66,0 per 100 thousand population, or 2.3%. In recent years TB facilities provided with necessary drugs that are purchased for the State budget, Global Fund. In the regional TB dispensary deployed 460 beds to provide specialized medical care for TB patients. V. a. Deputy head of the Department of health regional state administration Victor Luchkov stressed the importance of continuation of treatment in sanatorium of Zhytomyr region. Now in the region there is a TB sanatorium for adults "Lesnaya Skazka" with 150 beds (Korostyshevsky district) and anti-tuberculosis sanatorium for children "Forest beach" with 240 beds (Zhitomir).
