Chernivtsi region: chemists-dosimetrists improve their actions during the teaching duties
From 28th to 31st March in Chernivtsi was held training analytical chemists, dosimetrists units SSES of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region. First to the rescue was conducted a theoretical course, after which they underwent practical testing standards. During the theoretical part of the meeting discussed the principle and the application of the mask, the individual and collective means of protection against radiation and chemical contamination, to perform decontamination of premises in case of spill of mercury and other emergencies, it’associated with a chemical hazard for the population of the region. During the practical part of teaching duties, which took place on the territory of the rescue squad of special purpose Control SSES, analytical chemists, dosimetrists fulfill different standards. In particular, rescuers worked through the steps in case of an alarm, "gas alarm”, improved skills in the use of personal protective equipment, household dosimeters, masks to eliminate the consequences of contamination, conducted demercurization of mercury. Upon completion of the practical workings of the participants summed up the charges. Such fees will be held in the future.
