In pre-school educational establishment No. 37 was held environmental action “In the future without technological and environmental disasters” on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. During the event children together with mayor Mykola Romaniuk, Deputy Sergei Grigorenko, the Deputy of city Council Yury Bespalko, the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, parents, teachers on the territory of the kindergarten planted an orchard. Pupils of PRESCHOOL educational establishment No. 37, together with their teachers promised to care for and protect young trees and bushes, including apples, pears, apricots, plums and currants. A total of 60 young seedlings. Addressing the audience mayor Mykola Romaniuk said that the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant caused a lot of damage. “30 years ago we didn't realize what had happened. Don't tell us anything at first. Information started to get in a week or two. We knew that the accident occurred, but, what disaster it will bring, no one knew how this will impact on human health and the environment. I want to thank the citizens who liquidated the consequences of the accident, for their courageous and heroic act. Thanks to them has been reduced consequences. The city Council as much as possible, doing everything to help the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, but financial resources at all vistavka. I'm sure that memory will remain an orchard, which we planted in honor of the memory of the liquidators. Future generations should not forget about this terrible accident. This is an unfortunate page in the history of our country”, - he stressed. In addition, Mykola Romanyuk and presented a number of honorary awards.
