April 26 marks the 30th anniversary of the largest technogenic accident in the history of mankind – the Chernobyl disaster. Mayor Sergei Nadal was handed to liquidators of consequences of the accident from Ternopil memory’commemorative medals «For merit», which were specially made by the city Council before the tragic date. In General, such medals and cash assistance in Ternopil will receive more than 640 of them. Addressing the audience, head of Ternopil noted that then, in time of peace, Ukraine has lost part of its territory which, because of the Chernobyl disaster has become uninhabitable, and thousands of human lives who were killed and the killing still like the peaceful atom. “the Chernobyl disaster was part of the genocide of the Ukrainian nation from the hostile Communist regime. The Soviet regime built the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the vicinity of the capital of Ukraine, despite the protests of dissidents, environmentalists and ordinary Ukrainians. It is a crime against humanity has become one of the main evidence of the criminal nature of the Communist regime and the need to ban Ladentalclinic Communist ideology, - said Sergey Nadal. - We sadly remember the largest man-made disaster, and with sincere gratitude to honor the heroism of firefighters, operational personnel Chernobyl, soldiers, builders, scientists, doctors, police officers who took part in liquidation of consequences of the accident at the station.
