Olena Regesa elaborated the concept of corruption and its types in Ukraine and methodological recommendations for its overcoming. "We need to eliminate the factor of bribes, that is, the person who receives it, and replace it with a special electronic system," she said. "Unfortunately, in some countries corruption is the exception and in others the rule". The participants had the opportunity to work with a "closed circle of corruption", which gives the opportunity to see and explain all the stages of corruption. "Our organization recently implemented nine projects of investigative journalism, concerning anti-corruption activities," said Julia Grieg. Corruption causes great harm to the state. "This and the loss of investors for the domestic economy, the shortfall in social institutions funds, the widening gap between the rich and the poor, the misuse of international economic benefits, not to mention reducing the level of public morality" – summed up Elena Ragasa. On may 14 scheduled seminars with the participation of experts of the Center for political studies and Analytics "Eidos" Gleb Kanevsky and Sergey Karelin. The focus will be on transparency, adoption of regulatory legal acts of local self-government bodies, public procurement in Ukraine and the anti-corruption journalistic investigations.
