The Zhytomyr region: the region started the week of traffic safety
At the initiative of the Ministry of health of Ukraine, the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, with the involvement of relevant ministries and authorities, regional and Kiev city state administrations, international and national organisations from 16 to 22 may 2016 in Ukraine will be held the Week of road safety. Goal of the Week – Association of efforts of state bodies, business, NGOs, scientific community, mass media and society, implementation of national and international programmes on road safety and promoting the importance of compliance with traffic rules. Every year on the roads of Ukraine killed more than 4,000 people and more than 30 000 people get hurt, accidents are the first cause of death of young people aged 15-24 and the second among children aged 5 to 14 years.
