The Prosecutor's office of Volyn insists on the necessity of more effective work of National police force
Despite the measures taken by the Prosecutor's office coordinating events, working bodies of the National police in the region remains ineffective, and the crime situation is deteriorating. As is already known to everybody, in February this year the Prosecutor's office in the Volyn region held a joint meeting of heads of law enforcement bodies of the region, and in April a joint meeting of the leadership of the Prosecutor's office of area and heads of independent divisions of the National police, during which were discussed the problematic issues of combating crime in the region this year. They talked about the deterioration of a criminogenic situation in the region, and that the actual results of the work of the police to carry out certain article 2 of the Law “On the National police” task of combating crime, ensuring public safety and order, protection of rights and freedoms of the person, and also interests of society and the state do not exist. Time passed, but the situation has not changed, the job of the police to prevent, identify and commit criminal acts in the region has not improved. And although the level of criminal offences per 10 thousand of population is lower than the national average, but one third of those recorded in Volyn violations – is a serious crime and they were more than a thousand. More than half of all recorded offences are against property. The lion's share of these crimes-theft, which in the field during January-April this year made more than 2.5 thousand. Growth of frauds, robberies, robberies. Significantly increased in the number of accidents. Twice more, than in the country, in the Volyn region remains the share of crimes committed by persons under the influence of alcohol of SP’intoxication. Needs improvement the work of the police to detect crimes in the sphere of turnover of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Concerned about the state of disclosure of crimes, especially serious and very serious. But not eradicated cases of criminal offences shelter from registration . Significantly increased the balance of uncompleted criminal proceedings. Gross violations of the constitutional rights of citizens in criminal proceedings. Measures taken by the police in combating crime – still insufficient. The state of the fight against crime, efforts to prevent criminal offences require immediate improvement. The Prosecutor's office once again urges T. V. and. the chief of the Department of National police in the region,the chief of Department of protection of the economy in the Volyn region Department of protection of the economy and the head of the Third territorial Department (for service in Volyn, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions) of the Department of counteraction of narcocrime National police of Ukraine and the head of the patrol police in the city of Lutsk to direct the work of subordinates to perform the primary task of combating crime, and therefore to ensure law and order in the region.
