9 June, in the Year of the English language in Ukraine, in the conference hall of the regional state administration held a meeting with 9 volunteers-foreigners who, within 7 working days in educational institutions of Vinnytsia region, teaching children a foreign language. The event was attended by Chairman of regional state administration Valeriy Cow, Deputy Chairman and Director of the Department of education and science of regional state administration Igor Ivasyuk, volunteers and their coordinators, translators, media representatives. "European integration, the greatest barrier is language, so we do our best to overcome it and move forward," said Valery Cow. The guests were shown the presentation "vinnichchina – all only begins", which demonstrates the socio-economic development of the region. "Unfortunately, children are embarrassed to make mistakes, and as a consequence speak the English language. But this did not prevent us to establish a constructive dialogue," – said one of the volunteers. The Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Cow handed the volunteers a small gift: chocolates, a photo album of landscapes of Podolia and attributes that symbolize the Vinnytsia region.
