Lutsk and Kherson – urban development jointly!
On 17 June, for the third year in a row, in the city of Kherson there was held the III Baltic-black sea economic forum. The main goal of the Forum is to demonstrate the economic and investment opportunities, to organize cooperation of the business community in the production of goods and services, the establishment of innovative production and logistics clusters. Participation in the Forum was attended by representatives of 54 delegations from 14 countries: Bulgaria, Lithuania, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Armenia, China, UK, Austria, Italy and the United States. In turn, Ukraine was represented by 9 cities: Kyiv, Lutsk, Mykolayiv, Odessa, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Uzhgorod. Lutsk was represented by the Deputy of the Lutsk city Council, head of tourism and city promotion Natalia Bunda and Deputy Director of economic policy Department, head of Department for investment policy Sergiy Omelchuk. During the Forum working sections: development of transport - logistics complex, tourism and hospitality, agriculture; energy conservation and development of the energy market. The main topics of the meetings were promising areas of cooperation with the Baltic States in the spheres of transport, tourism, hospitality, energy saving and development of energy, production of agricultural machinery and agro-industrial complex. Natalia Bunda warmly invited all participants to visit our city, spoke about its cultural and tourist delights and benefits of travel products, festivals, and, of course, the atmosphere of the place. Sergey Omelchuk, taking part in the section on energy saving and development of energy market, shared best practices of luck for the creation and operation of condominiums, introduction of energy efficiency measures and energy conservation of luck. Pleased to note that Forum participants spoke positively about our city, and a significant portion is already planning your arrival to the city this summer, including the art show "Night at Lutsk castle", "Bandershtat" and the like. The Forum participants sincerely believe that the issues discussed would be a step on the path to economic growth, a resource for the creation of competitive industries, a Foundation for improving the standard of living of the population. One result of the Forum was the signing of a Memorandum of cooperation between the Kherson city Council and Lutsk city Council concerning cooperation towards the development of tourism, increase investment and tourist attractiveness of cities.
