Lutsk: in Zhytomyr shared experiences of best practices of local self-government
on July 5-6 this year in Zhytomyr hosted a seminar on experience exchange "Best practices in local government in the sphere of cooperation of communities: Practical results and benefits", in which participated the Director of the economic policy Department of the Lutsk city Council Alexander Oslovit. The event was organized by the Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine in collaboration with the Program of the Council of Europe "Decentralization and territorial consolidation in Ukraine" with the assistance of Zhytomyr regional Council and Noboborsho Council of the village of Volodarsko-Volynskyy district, Zhytomyr region. The main theme of the seminar was to discuss the issue of local government reform and territorial organization of power – from concept to build capable communities. The seminar, which was held in the Zhytomyr region, gathered more than 80 participants from all regions of Ukraine. In the process, took place the presentation of best practices of local self-government of Ukraine, raised the issue of cooperation of territorial communities and on real examples have demonstrated the results of such cooperation.
