The Committee invites you to participate in the contest "Ukrainian book of the year"
state Committee begins accepting applications for participation in the competition for the annual award of the President of Ukraine "Ukrainian book of the year". Application for participation in the competition in accordance with the regulations of the annual award of the President of Ukraine "Ukrainian book of the year" approved by the decree of the President of Ukraine of 16 December 2009 No. 1058, served the Committee until November 15, 2016, along with the publication. It should contain information about the publication that is put forward for the award, the author (authors) published works, the publisher or publishing organization, year of publication, rationale for extension of the publication for the award, abstract of a publication. The prize is awarded in such nominations: for outstanding achievements in the field of fiction – book edition of the works of classical or modern Ukrainian prose, poetry, translations of Ukrainian literature; for a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian studies – book edition of the works of that form of knowledge about Ukraine, its people, history, culture, science, reference, encyclopedias, local history or cartographic publishing, the publication of other works of Ukrainian studies; for assistance in upbringing of the younger generation – book edition of the works of children's literature, guide or tutorial for preschoolers, pupils or students. Nominate books for the award shall be subject to the legislation on intellectual property. For the award nominated books in the Ukrainian language published in Ukraine in the last three years, but not later than six months prior to their nomination for the award. Books nominated for the award, must be perfect in content and published at the highest aesthetic, artistic and polygraphic level.
