This year special attention is focused on the structure of the academic year and organization of the educational process: "We as the Department of education and science of Ternopil state regional administration on the basis of the Ministerial order about the beginning of the school year has issued its own orders. It is proposed to start the school year on 1 September and end on 25 may for educational institutions who are studying at the five-day form and 26, where the training takes place six days a form. That is, the holidays begin July 1, as specified in the law, however, the actual training process takes up to 25 to 26th. After these dates, students have the time to take exams, attend school trips and internship", — said the Deputy head of the Department of education and science Anna Zvarych. However, each school, within the framework defined by the Department of education and science and coordinating them with the local authorities, can assert its structure of the academic year. With regard to academic subjects, it is compulsory to study two foreign languages. The first one can be French, German, English or the language of national minorities. Language will be studied from the second to the 11 classes with no right to change. Mastering a second foreign language will be held from 5 to 11 classes, also without the right replacement. "Traditionally focus on the study of the Ukrainian language. In addition, the novelty is that the students will learn the history of Ukraine in the updated program. So, the emphasis will be placed on prominent figures who created the history of our state", — said Anna Zvarych. In the regional scientific conference in addition to the heads of district departments of education, scholars, Methodists were invited the representatives of the United territorial communities, which the latter within the framework of decentralization elected their leaders of the Department of education. By the way, August 18, there will be a regional educational Board, where the results will be summarized 2015-2016 and to set the objectives for the 2016-2017 academic year.
