In Transcarpathia will present the draft Strategy of the Carpathian Euroregion 2020 and will tell about prospects of cooperation of the region with neighbouring regions

the international expert group completed the work on the project "Strategy of the Carpathian Euroregion 2020". The strategy was developed with the involvement of authorities and governments and partner organizations in border regions of Ukraine (Transcarpathian region, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast), Slovakia ( Ko?ice and pre?ov self-governing region), Hungary ( Szabolcs-szatm?r-Berezka region), Romania( Maramures County and satu Mare). The development was also involved associated partners: the participating regions of the Carpathian Euroregion. On this occasion, on Friday, August 19, at the press center of the Transcarpathian regional state administration held a press-conference on a theme: "Modern condition and perspectives of development of cooperation of Transcarpathian region with the neighbouring border regions of the EU – members of Carpathian Euroregion". With journalists will meet: Victor Mikulin, Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian regional state administration, Renata Moshe-Sman – head of foreign economic relations, investments and cross-border cooperation of the Transcarpathian regional state administration, Vasyl Makovsky – head of Department of external relations, international technical apology and Protocol of the Executive apparatus of the Transcarpathian regional Council. Beginning at 10.00 During the event there will also be presentation of the printed version of the draft Strategy of the Carpathian Euroregion 2020. The project will provide for: Natalia NOSE, head of the International Association of institutes of regional development (MARR) and Oleh LUKSHA, expert of the project, Chairman of the Board of the Agency of local development and information resources "Brepols" Reference: Transcarpathian regional state administration, Transcarpathian regional Council took an active part in the development Strategy of the Carpathian Euroregion 2020. International Association of institutions for regional development (MARR) became the key partner from Ukraine. As a result of successful and highly skilled work of experts and consolidation 5 the frontier regions of the Carpathian Euroregion Strategy 2020 has been praised and received the award – the award of the Association of European border regions (AEBR): "For outstanding achievements in the field of cross-border cooperation". A brief summary of the Carpathian Euroregion inter-regional Association "the Carpathian Euroregion was established in 1993 and has 23 years of tradition and experience. Its membership now includes 19 cross-border administrative-territorial units (regions) 5 countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland and Romania, with a population of about 14.2 million people and an area of 145.00 thousand km2 (the largest Euroregion in Europe).
