In the Ternopil region to restore the tobacco industry
After ten years of inactivity in the Ternopil region makes up the only enterprise in Ukraine with fermentatie tobacco. To date, the production cycle includes how production and processing of raw materials. "After the collapse of the Soviet Union the tobacco industry, in fact its processing is completely collapsed. In Ukraine, we are still the only one who began to restore an important and strategic industry. In 2010 the decision was made to tobacco farming. During this time, it was restored to 20 and heart about 30 special dryers. At the moment the fields involved in the tobacco 300 people who will work from March to November-December", - said the Director of the enterprise Alexey Owl. One hectare of tobacco creates one job, while in crop – one person serves an average of 100 hectares. Manufacturers claim that with an appropriate legislative framework and support from the state, for residents of Borschev and surrounding villages in the future may be created up to 2-3 thousand jobs. "One of the strategies of Ternopil region is the recovery of the industry, which provides jobs for people in our region. We were at the fermentation plant, it is important to provide the enterprise with raw materials. Accordingly, this requires the people who will grow tobacco and have a place of work", – said the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna.
