Trichinosis remains an important problem in many countries of the world, because carriers of pathogens is domestic, wild and synanthropic animals, which cause frequent occurrence of foci of foci trichinellosis. Socio-economic difficulties in the state, the existence of the spontaneous markets, trade in meat products that have not passed veterinary examination, the presence of existing natural and synanthropic foci of trichinosis give reason to believe the forecast from the trichinosis and in the future unfavorable. Factor in the transmission of infection are meat of wild and domestic animals obtained by hunting, grazing of domestic animals and violations of the rules of detention, slaughter and realization of meat products. trichinosis among the population is almost on the whole territory of Ukraine, where imported meat products from its cells and violation of veterinary-sanitary rules. Trichinosis is an acute or chronic disease of animals and humans, which is characterized by significant functional changes in organs and systems of the body. In humans, this helminthiasis is characterized by acute course: fever, muscle pain, swelling of the face, skin rashes, high eosinophilia; severe – lesions of the myocardium, the lungs, the Central nervous system. The disease causes complications, which often lead to fatal outcomes. The causative agent of trichinosis round worms is the species Trichinella spiralis, 1.5 – 2.0 mm. Mature parasitic worms in the intestines of people and animals and larval stage – in the transversely-striped muscles. In the natural focus people most often become infected with trichinosis by eating insufficiently thermally processed meat, in particular pork. Trichinosis is widespread in nature throughout the world among predators and omnivorous mammals, and rodents. In the human environment arise synanthropic foci of infestation. The nature of epidemic outbreaks of trichinosis resembles infectious diseases (typhoid, tularemia, dysentery), and malignant course is not like any other. The main source of infestation to humans in a commensal fire is pigs. In nature the source of infection are wild boars, badgers, raccoon dogs, brown and polar bears, marine mammals. The disease causes considerable damage to the farms in many countries (organization trichinelloscope pork; disposal of swine carcasses affected by pathogens trichinosis; diseases of the people, reduction of their health, etc.). Fighting trichinosis is complex (medical, veterinary and hunting organizations). To prevent and avoid this disease of the heads of households and owners of animals must: – to provide stabling pigs; – bring the animals only safe for trichinosis farms; – the slaughter of pigs is done only in slaughterhouses and areas under the control of veterano; – constantly carry out rodent control in livestock buildings, in the territories of the farms, in places of storage of feed, carcasses of dead rodents promptly remove and burn; – to ensure the maintenance of territories and premises of the farm in a sanitary condition. It is strictly forbidden: – backyard slaughter of animals without veterinary-sanitary control; – the sale of pork, meat of wild animals unbranded vetsanekspertizy. Sanitary-educational work is aimed at disseminating public information about the trichinosis. Personal prevention of trichinosis is to eat only examined for trichinosis meat of pigs and wild animals. You cannot buy meat of these animals or meat products on spontaneous markets in the absence of the expert opinion of the veterinary sanitarian. If you suspect to assure the meat should be subjected to prolonged heat treatment (not less than 2.5 hours) at a thickness of a piece of meat not more than 8 cm.
