At the next meeting of the relevant Working group of the State Agency on energy efficiency and energy saving of Ukraine, in which participated the specialists of the Agency, representatives of people's deputies of Ukraine, Executive authorities, public organizations, enterprises of power engineering, experts discussed Lithuania's experience in conducting auctions for the purchase of thermal energy into alternative manufacturers and the definition of "maximum prices" the production of thermal energy. "Ukraine needs a heat market, which will stimulate producers to lower their costs and compete with others. The competitive environment that you want to create will have a positive impact: access to the market of manufacturers of heat from renewable energy, attracting investments, the substitution of gas quality services to consumers, the available rate. And we continue to work on this, - said the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk. The working group considered the following questions: determine the maximum prices for heat production, which should occur in the auction of alternative manufacturers, as well as the formation of a fair and equitable scheme of auctions. During the meeting, Diana Korsakaite, head of the Project USAID "Municipal energy reform in Ukraine", presented the procedure for conducting auctions for the purchase of thermal energy and of the definition of "maximum prices" of its production in Lithuania. According to her, the auctions is a key condition for ensuring effective competition in the heat production, promote the use of heat produced from renewable sources, as well as ensuring the right of consumers to obtain cheap heat. Diana Korsakaite said that the maximum price of heat production for the auction is determined by the monthly market Operator and published in the media. Independent producers form their proposals for the sale of thermal energy at a price not exceeding the maximum price.
