Rescuers urge Area residents not to burn dry grass

Department gschs of Ukraine in the Ternopil region appeals to residents of the region to be extremely careful when dealing with fire and comply with fire safety regulations. Most fires due to the burning of dry grass occur due to careless handling of fire or security breaches by the same citizens. People, by burning dry grass not always understand the danger, because due to the hot weather and the wind, the fire can get out of control and spread to a large area. Fires caused by the burning of dry grass is dangerous because in a short period of time, gaining large sizes. In the open area in calm weather a fire can spread with a speed of 4 km per hour and windy – up to 30 km; the flame height reaches 2 meters. However, the greatest danger lies in the fire, spread by strong winds with sharp changes of direction and speed. Typically, the area of fire for 15-30 minutes two to three times increased. Extinguishing such fires is connected with overcoming great difficulties and expenditure of substantial funds and human resources. Management DSNS of Ukraine in the Ternopil region appeals to inhabitants of the region: do not burn dry grass and be careful when using open fire. To prevent the occurrence of fire due to ignition of dry grass, follow fire safety rules: - be extremely careful in circulation with open fire; - do not leave unattended lit a bonfire; - never light a camp fire near the houses and estates; - do not burn dry grass. Compliance with fire safety regulations do not require any super or material costs, but their timely and thorough implementation will allow to protect yourself from harm.
