Chernivtsi scored on the "Black sea Cup" in karate
on 1-2 October in Odessa was held the XV international tournament on a karate "Cup of the Black sea." The last two years the tournament was not held due to organisational reasons, but this year's event gathered the strongest sportsmen from all over Ukraine, as well as teams from Israel and Moldova. The entire competition was 59 clubs for a total of 570 athletes participating. According to the head coach of SK "Max" Pavel Shestakov, extreme competition among students of "High" won two silver and four bronze awards in individual categories and also won a bronze medal in the prestigious men's "the wall" (team Kumite). In the team Kumite performed by one participant from each age group – Alex Gotsulyak (cadets), Artem Binsar (juniors) and Rizwan Talbot (adults). In the battles for the finals of Chernivtsi lost to inhabitants of Odessa, but only on the number of points, and bronze medal won the team of Zhytomyr. In the individual category silver medals were noted: the student of faculty of physical culture and health CNU them. Among cadets up to 70 kg the third place was won Rudik Klich with Stonogina, having overcome in fight for bronze of the current champion of Ukraine Alexander Gumiho. Among adult athletes from three bronze medals were noted: the student of faculty of physical culture and health CNU them. Fedkovych Rizwan Talbot (seniors – 75 kg; seniors open; U 21 -75 kg ). 18 year old chernivchanyn competed in all three possible categories in the company for much older athletes and in total has played 11 matches (7 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw). This weekend the team of "Max" will represent Ukraine and Chernivtsi at prestigious international competitions in Serbia.
