Rectors of Zhitomir universities discussed pressing problems.
To discuss current issues in higher education, in Zhytomyr on 5 October, a meeting of the Council of rectors of higher educational institutions of III-IV accreditation levels in Zhytomyr region. The meeting was attended by Chairman of regional Council Vladimir Shirma Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta. Board members discussed the results of the opening campaign in 2016 and preparations for the opening campaign of 2017, preparation and functioning of the scientific consortium and the organization of the annual monitoring of the labour market. Chairman of the Board, the rector of Zhytomyr state University named after Ivan Franko Petro Saukh pointed out that this year the admissions process was very difficult, because the rules of admission proved to be quite controversial and difficult for applicants and their parents, and higher education institutions. Universities have collected proposals for amendments of the rules of the revenues in 2017.
