In Volyn region at the principled position of the Prosecutor's office responsible for deadly accident will serve his sentence behind bars
the Prosecutor's office, challenging too unreasonable a sentence to the culprit, has made a just punishment for him. On the evening of 6 December, 2015 previously convicted 24-year-old resident of Mukachevo, not having the certificate on the right of control of the vehicle and being in a state of alcoholic SP’intoxication while driving "Opel", made arrival on the bicyclist. As a result dorozhno-transport incident the cyclist received injuries from which he died in the hospital. The court of first instance recognized the driver guilty of violating the rules of traffic safety, entailed death of the victim (criminal offense under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal code of Ukraine) sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment with 3 years deprivation of the right to operate vehicles with a 3-year probationary period. Disagreeing with the verdict, the Prosecutor's office appealed against it to the appeal. Listening to the arguments of prosecutors, the court of appeal of Volyn region appointed the person responsible for the fatal accident, the sentence of 4 years imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 3 years. In addition, the culprit will be charged 148 thousand hryvnias of moral damage, caused to the victim from a crime the son of the deceased.
