Vinnicchina: "Harmony" makes the process of providing administrative services more accessible (photo)
Vinnytsia public organization of young people with disabilities "Harmony" with the financial support of International Fund "Revival" in the framework of the project "Inclusion of people with disabilities in the processes of reforms" began teaching the basics of sign language workers transparent offices and structural subdivisions of city Council and regional state administration. Jointly with the Vinnitsa socio-economic Institute University "Ukraine" was developed by the specialized courses of sign language, in which participated employees of the Department of social policy and the Department of administrative services of the city Council, the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration and the Centre for socio-psychological rehabilitation of children and youth with functional limitations "Harmony". "It is through the introduction of such courses and we are getting closer", – said the Chairman of public organization "Harmony" Raisa Panasyuk. "Thanks to all participants for your participation and wish you better". The training lasted for 3 months. Courses were held twice a week for 14 participants. The idea of these exercises originated in the time of the Availability date of 25 September 2015, which took place at the independence square. It was then, during a heated discussion, the employees of various institutions and organizations in the region expressed their desire to learn at least the basics of sign language that would enable them to understand and help people with hearing impairment. "Our city has become much more accessible. May you become an example to all administrative officials of our country", – said the Deputy of the city Council, the Director of the Vinnytsia Institute of University "Ukraine" Anna Davydenko addressing the participants of the course. The spread of such practices among the employees of various institutions of education, culture, health, transparent offices, structural subdivisions of city Council and regional state administration, without a doubt, will help to alleviate the pressure on the interpreters, which is quite a lot in the Vinnytsia region, as well as to promote faster and better the provision of Executive authorities of different services to people who have certain hearing disorders. This trend will promote the inclusion of people with disabilities to the community, where they receive administrative services. Upon completion of training held the exam, which took people with hearing and awarding of diplomas.
