In Zhytomyr region the appointment of housing subsidies to new heating season completed
the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine reported that on October 31, the process of appointment of housing subsidies for new heating period (2016-2017). Information on the amount of subsidy determined on the basis of the total income of each household, and information about tariffs from the service providers will be reflected in the November payment for utilities. The average size of housing subsidies in Ukraine in this heating season is 2 000 UAH. Mandatory payment of Ukrainians for utilities, even less than last heating season (from may 2016, increased cost of living – 1399 UAH, which is included in the calculation of the subsidy). In General, the lower the income of a family, the lower the utility costs and larger amount of state support.
