In the Rivne region continues systematic work on combating illegal logging
the Destruction of forests and illegal sale ladyraven can lead to the limitation of resources of the state and citizens ' access to the use of "green" national treasures - forests. Therefore, one of the main tasks set before the law enforcement agencies of the state, in particular Rivne region, - coordinated work to identify and prevent fraud with the forest. The issues of combating illegal transactions ladyraven in the region were discussed 09.11.2016 at the meeting of the interdepartmental working group under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region Miroslav Patskan. In the meeting took part representatives of law enforcement agencies and bodies of the state control in Rivne region workers of the office of the Prosecutor of the region, heads of local prosecutors. Starting in August 2016, in the Rivne region, the Prosecutor's office and police initiated 60 criminal proceedings on the facts of committing illegal activities with the forest. Within these productions seized 1300 cubic meters of cut forests, vehicles, technological equipment for wood processing, financial and economic documentation. These data were presented at the meeting on results of work of the joint interagency working group (which was founded and is valid from August 2016) of the number of prosecutors, police, SBU, customs authorities, specialists of regional management of forest and hunting economy, State ecological inspection in Rivne region. Is only the first results we have achieved in a little more than 2 months of hard work in the designated direction. In the future, we must work in the same offensive movement to expose the forest "princes" and stop criminal schemes, - with such words has addressed the meeting the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region Miroslav Patskan. In his opinion the real achievements will be reached when punished all those involved in the plundering of forests: as persons engaged in illegal logging and timber exports, and officials of high ranks of the region that contribute to the theft of the forest. As noted at the meeting, on the way to overcoming the problems of deforestation there are a number of obstacles. In particular, through the imperfect system of management and control have exacerbated the problem of non-compliance by business entities of technological processes when conducting logging operations, often individual entrepreneurs through appropriate changes in legislation are abusing rights restrictions applied by regulatory authorities. With the aim of preventing and exposing criminal "cleansing" of the forest and its illicit export, the activities of all services refocused on the real combating these negative phenomena. All participants of the interagency working group made suggestions to the action plan and identified specific ways of its further work necessary for the effective protection of forest resources in the region. At the end of the meeting the Deputy Prosecutor of the region Miroslav Patskan through the media appealed to the public to help the police and inform them of the facts of plunder of the forests, and expressed hope that society and law enforcement bodies in interaction achieved effective results in the field of environmental protection.
