At the invitation of the public organization of social protection "Volyn Union of diabetics" first Deputy mayor Taras Yakovlev and head of the health Department of the city Council Nikolay Yakimchuk took part in the meeting devoted to the world day against diabetes, which was held in the conference room of the Department of health Volyn regional state administration. Participants of the event were also the main freelance endocrinologist of the health Department of the regional state administration, head of the endocrinology Department of the regional clinical hospital of Larissa Jankarashvili and doctors-endocrinologists centers for primary medical-sanitary care of the city. Taras Yakovlev during a speech to tell people with diabetes about the allocation of funds from the local budget of this category of the population, opportunities for 2017 and wished health and optimism to the audience. Nikolay Yakimchuk said that, unfortunately, the number of diabetic patients is not reduced. In the dispensary at the endocrinologists of the city is 6256 patients with diabetes, currently pregnant 1, 45 children from 0 to 18 years, of which first identified - 7, with complications 2431 all patients. To date, the leadership of the Ministry of health announced that in 2017 the reimbursement of medicines under preferential recipes patients with diabetes mellitus II-type. In Lutsk, the patients are provided with insulin at the expense of the regional budget centrally, according to the orders of endocrinologists of the centres of primary health care. Due to the fact that at the end of 2015 for the funds, reallocated from the regional budget, each PHC Centre and children's clinic purchased insulin preparations and hypoglycemic drugs in the amount of 199 thousand UAH. In the first quarter of 2016 managed to keep the situation to ensure patients with diabetes at the proper level. In addition, the head of the health Department of the city Council informed on the status of implementation of the program "Children's diabetes for 2016-2017", approved by resolution of the city Council from 24.02.2016 No. 4/11, by which, in the absence of declared prices of certain pharmaceutical products and medical devices, it is possible to provide children with diabetes, consumables, in particular test strips, lancets, syringes, insulin pumps. The joint work of the Executive authorities, public organizations, health care providers, endocrinologists and patients with diabetes will provide an opportunity to provide quality health care to this category of citizens.
