In the framework of the investigative (search) actions in criminal proceedings on smuggling weapons, historical and cultural values and goods of excisable group, employees of Prosecutor's office of Volyn region and regional management of SBU in January and June of this year in the forests of Manevychi district was discovered two aircraft “an-2”, which were used for illegal cross-border transportation of cargo of cigarettes of foreign production. According to the principled position of prosecutors and investigators on safety, judicial decisions, seized both planes at the time of the pre-trial investigation and establishment of all circumstances of Commission of smuggling. In addition, at the initiative of the authorised Prosecutor, the investigating judge on 9 November a procedural decision on the transfer of one of the previously seized aircraft for sale and circulation proceeds in state revenue. Implementation issues in this way of another aircraft - weapon contraband will be resolved soon, after all the necessary investigative and procedural actions, floor’connected with this plane.
