How to develop basketball in luck
During the “round table” discussed the prospects of development of basketball in our city. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Deputy of the mayor Yury Maclic and the Deputy of the city Council Pavel Danilchuk. In the discussion took part the Deputy of the city Council Nikolay Tender, Deputy head of the Department of physical culture and sports Andriy Moroz, representatives of sports clubs in the city and concerned citizens. As you know, thanks to the professional basketball club “Volynmarket”, which for many years successfully working in Lutsk, Volyn region is represented in the super League of Ukraine. However, the team is in financial difficulty, devoid of sponsorship. The participants of the round table tried to work together to find solutions to this problem. Opening the meeting, Yuriy Moklytsya noted that in luck there is considerable potential for the development of team sports, particularly basketball. There is also a need to keep a professional club “Volynmarket”, to the city of Lutsk were adequately represented in the basketball Superleague. “I feel the need to support the club within our competence, because the results of games, “Salinibacter” are indicative of the development of mass sports in the city,” he stressed. The same position was voiced by Paul danilchuk. He also added that the draft Program of development of physical culture and sports in the city of Lutsk in 2017 — 2020, which was recently presented, provided funds for the development of professional sports. Head coach of BC “Volynmarket” Dmitry Tchaikovsky said that in connection with difficult financial situation and lack of sponsorship the club is actively looking for ways out of the crisis. Was recently created Board of Trustees. The first was composed of the leader of the group “Tartak” Sashko polozhynsky, who also joined the discussion. He expressed the support of the club and stressed that the issue of financing in the current situation is the key and a positive decision is possible only in the case of a constructive relationship with city government. Dmitry Tchaikovsky added that the problem with sponsors arose because of the lack of interest in the development of the club from representatives of the business. In turn Yury Molica noted that the development of basketball as part of the mass sport it is possible, but to have a professional basketball club there is no possibility. “At the expense of the local budget it is possible to arrange sports grounds, organization of competitions, to create the conditions for high-grade sports, including basketball, for children and young people. However, to take full financing professional club we can't,” he said. In Yuri Mollica promised his assistance in organizing such “roundtables” and discussion, which will invite representatives of businesses, construction companies, representatives of regional Council and regional state administration to silnimi efforts to bring “Volynmarket” out of the crisis.
