For a specified list of drugs will set the marginal price (the highest price) at a level not higher than in neighbor countries. Defined 5 neighboring countries: Poland, Latvia, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic. The list of drugs under international non-proprietary name (INN) that should be regulated, and the limiting prices will be approved by the Ministry of health and published on the official website. Also, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision on the introduction from 1 April 2017, the reimbursement of the cost of drugs for such diseases: cardiovascular, diabetes type II, bronchial asthma. Patients are able to receive the necessary medication in the pharmacy for free (or substantial discount) on prescription. Medications, the cost of which will be reimbursed, will assign primary care physicians (family doctors, internists, pediatricians) international nonproprietary names (INN), i.e. the active substance and not for commercial name. The drug is the specific brand the patient will choose a pharmacy independently. Free medicines are part of the guaranteed package of primary care. The cost of medicines will be reimbursed by the state, it is in the draft State budget for 2017 is stipulated 500 million UAH, UAH 632 million pledged for the reimbursement of the cost of insulin. In addition, next year, introduced a regressive retail mark-medicine (mark-up pharmacy). The more expensive the cost of drugs, the less the retail markup on them.
